Kenyon Men come in second by one stroke in men’s division.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Dominican women won a convincing 63 stroke victory on March 12 and 13 at Dataw Island in Beaufort, South Carolina at the Taylormade Intercollegiate Tournament. ODC had four of it’s winning team members finish in the top 10 of individual results. ODC’s Bailey Krueger shot 22-over-par to finish second in the individual competition. 

Alexis Reichardt of Ohio Wesleyan shot +24 to finish in a tie for third. ODC golfers Emma Romine (+26), Abby Swenson (+28) and Kaylin Dill (+29) finished in the fifth, sixth and seventh spots respectively.

In the Men’s division, Kenyon was defeated by Greensboro by a mere stroke in the team competition.  Ohio Dominican finished in eighth place and event host Ohio Wesleyan ended up finishing 10th. 

Individual results featured a tie for runner-up finish by Kenyon’s Lawrence Courtney (+9) who finished four strokes off the pace. Will Efkemin of Ohio Wesleyan finished in a tie for sixth at 16-over-par. Kenyon golfers Eric Lifson and Andrew Kotler finished in a tie for eighth place at 17-over-par. 

Now in its seventh season on Dataw Island, the TaylorMade Intercollegiate Tournament field includes 130 student athletes, comprising men’s teams from 14 colleges and women’s teams from seven.
