COLUMBUS, Ohio — OSU women’s head golf coach Therese Hession did an interesting article this week with The Lantern and writer Kevin Hargrave discussing how her team has began to utilize international recruiting to beef up their lineup and improve their recruiting options to stay competitive against southern golf powers in warmer climates.
Hession discusses how technology has made it easier to reach recruits world-wide and how it has allowed her players to work in tandem with herself and their former or preferred instructors to benefit their games.
Hession’s current star player Jaclyn Lee is Canadian and came to Columbus from Calgary, Alberta. Former player Katja Pogacar who played from 2013 to 2017 came all the way from Slovenia and is now competing on the Ladies European Tour. Read here to see how Hession’s recruiting had gone world-wide.
